I found that many CCH instructors are using Facebook only for their web presence. It's an easy, inexpensive way to be on the web but isn't a proper substitute for having a dedicated website. It might give the impression that you're not fully committed to the endeavor.

If you do want to go the Facebook only route, at least configure it so that others don't have to log into Facebook to view your content. Believe it or not, many smart folk like me don't have a Facebook accounts.
